Filing Opens December 12 for 2018 Election

Election Filing

The Creve Coeur general municipal election for Mayor and City Council seats in Wards 1, 2, 3, and 4 is Tuesday, April 3, 2018. The first day of filing for all candidates is Tuesday, December 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Filing will close at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Candidates may file for the mayoral seat or a city council seat representing one of the four wards.

Mayoral candidates must:

  • Reside within city limits;
  • Be a qualified voter;
  • Be a resident of Creve Coeur for a minimum of one year prior to the election; and
  • Submit a petition form with 150 signatures of registered voters.

City Council candidates must:

  • Reside in the ward they seek to represent;
  • Be a qualified voter;
  • Be a resident of Creve Coeur for a minimum of one year prior to the election; and
  • Submit a petition form with 50 signatures of registered voters

Candidate packets will be available during regular business hours beginning December 1 in the City Clerk’s office at the Creve Coeur Government Center, 300 N. New Ballas Road. For more information, contact City Clerk Deborah Ryan at dryan@crevecoeurmo.gov or (314) 872-2517.

The last day to register to vote in the April 4 election is Wednesday, March 7, 2018. Contact the Election Authority at (314) 615-1800 for absentee voting, change of address or questions regarding your polling place.
