Creve Coeur officials unveiled updated schematic designs for the new 25,000 square foot, two-story police station to be located on New Ballas Road north of the existing Government Center. City council will review the designs on November 13.
The architect, ArchImages, completed the first renderings in July and presented them to the Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) in August. P&Z made several suggested changes as conditions of approval, which the updated renderings seek to address. Major differences in the new design include updated brick color, enhanced entryway and material improvements.
The architect is currently drawing construction plans for the project. If the design is approved, the city will begin the construction bidding process in early December. Officials hope to award construction of the project in January and begin construction shortly thereafter.
Funding for the project comes from voter-approved general obligation bonds totaling $10.69 million.
