Assistant City Administrator Receives 2018 Richard Noll Outstanding Assistant Award

Creve Coeur Assistant City Administrator, Sharon Stott, was named the 2018 recipient of the Missouri City Managers Association (MCMA) Richard Noll Outstanding Assistant Award. The award was presented to Stott at the MCMA Annual Spring Conference on Thursday, May 3.

The award, presented annually, recognizes an Assistant City Administrator in the state of Missouri who exhibits strong leadership, is active in professional and governmental organizations and committees, and initiates activities designed to enhance or improve the organization’s performance and service capabilities. In considering Stott for this award, the MCMA reviewed her public service history, record of achievements and demonstrated leadership skills.

Stott first started working for the City of Creve Coeur in 2011 as the Public Information Officer and Management Analyst. She was promoted to Assistant to the City Administrator in 2013, then to Assistant City Administrator in 2017. During that time, she has coordinated key projects for the city, including the annual 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan. Stott takes the lead on the Capital Improvement Plan and finds ways to improve the plan itself, demonstrating her drive to go above and beyond what is expected of her. She has applied this same mindset to other projects she has worked on, such as the development of the city’s Strategic Plan and the solar panel additions to the Dielmann Recreation Complex. Stott has also devoted countless hours serving on the Creve Coeur Horticulture, Ecology and Beautification Committee, dedicated to addressing environmental sustainability issues facing the city.

“Sharon’s willingness to take on a variety of special projects exemplifies her natural ability to lead and problem solve,” said Creve Coeur Mayor Barry Glantz. “I have witnessed firsthand Sharon’s ambition and commitment to public service, and I am delighted to see her get recognized by the MCMA for all of her hard work.”
