While no crime prevention program can guarantee your total safety, we feel that following these suggestions will greatly reduce your chances of becoming a victim of crime.

Dear Creve Coeur Resident,

Thank you for taking a moment to learn a little about crime prevention. We at the Creve Coeur Police Department encourage our residents to take an active role in prevention because we cannot protect our community alone. A successful partnership between the citizens of Creve Coeur and the officers who protect and serve them is only possible with active participation from both. I am confident that you will find some information here that will help you become more involved in preparing for threats that may face your family, home and property. This involvement in prevention and preparedness helps to make you a hard target for criminals and tragedy.

Crime fighting begins with you. If you ever see something in your neighborhood that looks suspicious, please call the police department immediately. No one knows your streets, neighbors, and community better that you do; so please, always be vigilant of people, vehicles, or activity that look out of place. One simple phone call to the police department may mean the difference between being a good witness and becoming a victim.

If, after reading the information contained on this website, you are interested in learning more or participating in some of our programs, please contact our Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving Unit at 314-872-2540. The officers in this special unit are dedicated to educating the community and fostering a positive relationship with our citizens.

While no crime prevention program can guarantee your total safety, we feel that by becoming more involved, educated, and prepared for crime and disaster, you will greatly reduce your chances of becoming a victim of crime or tragedy.

Sincerely,
Chief John T. Beardslee
