Most animal control services in the City of Creve Coeur are provided by St. Louis County Animal Control. City maintenance workers patrol the streets for dead animals on the roadway only. In the event the you require assistance for an animal control issue please contact St. Louis County Animal Control at 314-726-6655 (during normal business hours between 8am -5:30pm) and 314-889-2341 (during off hours and weekends).

The following questions are frequently asked:

Q. There is a dead animal or bird in the street (yard). Will the city remove the animal?

A. Yes, please call the Public Works Department at 872-2533 between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and we will promptly remove the animal.

Q. What should I do if I see an animal running loose in my neighborhood?

A. Please contact St. Louis County Animal Control:

For wildlife, please call the Missouri Conservation Department, Powder Valley, at 314-301-1500, as most other animals are protected by state or federal law.

Q. I have geese, coyotes and/or deer on my property. What can I do?

Q. I have squirrels (other rodents) in my house (attic). Will the city remove them for me?

A. No, please contact a pest control company for help.

Q. I have raccoons and/or opossums in my yard getting into my trash. Will the city remove them for me?

Q. I have a hornet’s nest in my tree. Will the city remove it for me?

A. No, please contact a pest control company for help. Please do not attempt to remove a hornet’s (or bee or wasp) nest as it is very dangerous and must be handled by a qualified specialists.
