The Creve Coeur Police Department partners with
Project ChildSafe, a nationwide program to promote safe firearms handling and storage practices among all firearms owners. Project ChildSafe distributes safety education messages and free gun locking devices (safety kits). You can obtain a free firearms safety kit from the Creve Coeur Police Department Crime Prevention Office.
Since 2003 Project ChildSafe has distributed more than 25 million safety kits to gun owners in all 50 states and five U.S. territories and continues to help its law enforcement partners promote firearms safety. The Creve Coeur Police Department distributes approximately 150 kits annually.
