From time to time, it becomes evident that the best use of a property can only be achieved if its zoning designation is changed (rezoned). This process is regulated by Section 26-113, Zoning Changes and Amendments, of the Zoning Code
and must follow specific procedures and guidelines. Most importantly, the proposed zoning must conform to the goals of the Comprehensive Plan
and all potential applicants should be familiar with that document before proceeding.
