Creve Coeur’s Recycling Program Expands
Sending Less Material to the Landfill

CREVE COEUR - The Creve Coeur Recycling Program is expanding by accepting even more materials. The city’s haulers, Midwest Waste and Smurfit, have incorporated a new single stream recycle program to accept a wider variety of materials. With the help of Creve Coeur residents, this will not only increase the amount of recycled material the city produces, but will also keep valuable landfill space available. Best of all this expanded service is provided without an increase in current rates. The expanded service started in March. Collection process will remain the same – placing materials at the curb in the city-provided plastic bag. One of the best recycling programs in the state, the city collected nearly 1200 tons of recycled material last year.
