Sign-up for Creve Coeur’s National Night Out

CREVE COEUR - Over 34 million Americans will share in the annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 3. Over the last 20 years, National Night Out has brought communities across the nation together with local police and fire departments to celebrate their neighborhoods. The goal of the program is to have residents gain a sense of community spirit simply by meeting their neighbors, talking, and playing.

The City of Creve Coeur encourages neighborhoods and subdivisions to plan block parties and cookouts. Between the hours of 6:30 and 10 p.m., the Creve Coeur Police Department, along with the Creve Coeur Neighborhood Watch Association, will organize traveling caravans to visit the block parties.

Members of the caravans will include police officers, fire fighters, city officials, and McGruff the Crime Dog. By participating in this event, your neighborhood will have an opportunity to meet with members of local law enforcement and emergency responders in a non-emergency setting.

To get your group or subdivision signed up for the 15th annual Creve Coeur National Night Out, please call Officer Matt Lakin at 872-0946 ext. 2546 prior to July 21.
