Creve Coeur to Accept Applications to Distribute

Annual Domestic Violence Shelter Funds

CREVE COEUR – After September 1, 2005, qualified Missouri domestic violence shelters can apply for funding from the Creve Coeur Domestic Violence Shelter Municipal Court Cost Fund. The deadline is Friday, September 30.

Authorized under Missouri State law in 1995, two dollars are collected by the Municipal Court on each moving traffic and criminal violation. Since its inceptions, over $99,000 has been distributed to area organizations including the Salvation Army, the Kathy J. Weinman Shelter, Lydia’s House, Alternatives for Living in Violent Environments (ALIVE), the St. Louis Crisis Nursery, The Women’s Safe House and the Sonlight Family Center.
