Operation Safe Teen

CREVE COEUR – As part of a statewide mobilization, the Creve Coeur Police Department will be participating in Operation Safe Teen, which runs October 8 - 21. The purpose of Operation Safe Teen is to improve seat belt use among teenage drivers, whose seat belt usage is below the state average. In 2006, over 75% of all Missourians used seat belts, but less than 58% of teen drivers were in complaince. Creve Coeur Police Officers will be focusing extra education and enforcement efforts on teen drivers, encouraging teens to buckle up.
