Tappmeyer Homestead Foundation Fund Raising Effort

CREVE COEUR – The Tappmeyer Homestead Foundation has completed a successful fund raising effort.  The Foundation has received a $20,000 matching grant with the qualification that the Foundation raise an additional $20,000.  This means that the Foundation will have $40,000 for continued renovation of the Tappmeyer Homestead.

The donor of the $20,000 matching grant is Judy Tappmeyer Dierberg.  The contribution was in memory of her parents, Bill and Ferris Tappmeyer.  Judy Dierberg is an ardent preservationalist.

Matching funds were contributed by the Isle of Capri Casinos, Dierbergs Markets, several anonymous donors and every member of the Tappmeyer Homestead Foundation Board.

This $40,000 in new funds will permit the Tappmeyer Homestead Foundation Board to proceed with the installation of new electrical wiring, new water lines and air conditioning.

Additional funds will be needed to continue the renovation of the Homestead.  Individuals who would like to contribute are asked to contact Phil Hellwege at (314) 872-7166.
